Born and raised in country Victoria, Sue left the country in 1977 to firstly train as a primary teacher at Toorak State College in Melbourne, and then to retrain as a hairdresser in 1983 before running her own hairdressing business in Beaumaris.

In 1986 Sue and her husband returned to the country to raise a family. In January 2001 Sue was unexpectedly swept into the art world when she was commissioned to paint two public murals in Echuca after painting a mural on her lounge room wall.

Shortly after she was invited to exhibit at Manyung Gallery in Mt. Eliza in July 2001 where she is now a regular exhibiting artist.

Although untrained in art, Sue possesses a natural artistic ability and an imaginative sense of humour which is evident in everything she paints.

Sue has won prizes for her work and has sold paintings through Manyung Gallery, Mt. Eliza; Mahoney's Gallery in Melbourne; Colonial Bank Gallery in Bendigo and at various art shows.

Recognising very early the commercial element in her images, Sue ventured rapidly into self-publishing her paintings onto cards and after a very successful launching of her card range at the Melbourne Trade Fair in August 2002, her amusing cards depicting larger than life characters are now being distributed & sold in leading card and gift stores throughout Australia & New Zealand.

Prints and canvas reproductions of Sue's work are now available by mail order via the Internet.
